FU - explained

The executive committee (abbreviated FU) is responsible for the day-to-day running of the association. This is where the board's work becomes reality and where the big decisions are implemented in the form of the major events we organize.

The chairman's tasks primarily involve contact between the board and the executive committee. In addition, the chairman is the immediate contact person for the organization to, for example, the management at SDU and journalists. It is the chairman's responsibility to ensure that the organization runs smoothly, that there are employees for the positions and that the board is fully constituted and effective.

The vice-chairman's primary responsibility is to assist the chairman. However, by tradition in Syddanske Studerende, the vice chairman has his or her own focus on either the social or political aspects of the organization. Like the chairman, the vice-chairman participates in meetings with the leadership and is the primary contact person for the organization if the chairman is not available.

SDS' organization coordinator is responsible for the primary contact with various organization locally at SDU and in Odense in connection with the SDS' organization network. The organization coordinator is also partly responsible for the political network in SDS among all the students who are elected to various councils and boards at SDU.

The communication manager has the primary responsibility for the organization's internal and external communication. This position is responsible for content and flow on social media, keeping the website updated with relevant and up-to-date information and sometimes also helps with communication strategies and execution for the association's other events: Semesterstartsfesten, Institutdysten and Student Fair, and so on. The communication manager's tasks are therefore both many and varied.

Dette er den hovedansvarlige for planlægning og eksekvering af Danmarks største semesterstartsfest, som Syddansk Studenterråd står for at afholde på SDU. Herunder findes en arrangørgruppe på omkring 10 personer til at varetage positioner, der arbejder med blandt andet booking, sikkerhed, garderobe, plads, frivillige og kommunikation.

Dette er den hovedansvarlige for planlægning og eksekvering af et af SDU’s største events, Institutdysten, som Syddansk Studenterråd står for at afholde på De Studerendes Dag. Herunder findes en arrangørgruppe på omkring 10 personer, der varetager positioner, der arbejder med sponsorer, plads, frivillige samt planlægningen af alle dystene ift. turneringsplaner og regler for dystene.

Dette er den hovedansvarlige for planlægning og eksekvering af et af SDU’s største events, Student Fair, som Syddansk Studenterråd står for at afholde. Student Fair er en studiestartsmesse, som Syddanske Studerende afholder hvert år for at gøre de studerende på SDU opmærksomme på en del af de foreninger, som findes på universitetet.

Siden 2015 har Syddansk Studenterråd hjulpet Tinderbox med at finde frivillige til at stå i barer på festivallen. Den Tinderbox-ansvarlige i Syddansk Studenterråd står i spidsen for at indsamle disse frivillige på vegne af foreningen og skal stå for vagtplaner og være til stede på pladsen under festivallen for at sørge for, at alt går som det skal. Der er altså en række faste men også fleksible arbejdsopgaver for den Tinderbox-ansvarlige.
