Why volunteer?
Syddansk Studenterråd ville ingenting være uden sine mange frivillige, som hver dag udfører et fantastisk stykke arbejde i vores forskellige projekter og udvalg.
Som frivillig ved Syddansk Studenterråd får du opbygget et stærkt netværk, som kan bruges både fagligt og socialt. Du får bekendtskaber, som rækker langt ud over dit studie, og du får mulighed for at udvikle dine kompetencer og få noget fedt på dit CV.

Our unique opportunities
Semester Start Party
It takes more than 100 volunteers to organize Denmark's biggest semester start party. That's why we're always looking for volunteers who want to get involved. We are looking for both enthusiasts who are passionate about event planning and are willing to put in long hours, and people who just want to help on the day of the event. This includes tasks such as bartending, communication, HR, custodianship, hosting, setting up the site, atmosphere, wardrobe and much more.
Social activities
Som frivillige i Syddansk Studenterråd får du adgang til flere sociale events. Blandt andet har vi vores helt egne interne julefrokost samt et awardshow kaldet SDS Awards, hvor vi hylder de studerende, som har gjort sig ekstraordinært bemærket det seneste års tid. Derudover har vi en sommerfest, vi har generalforsamlinger efterfulgt af en reception for den tiltrædende og afgående bestyrelse. Derudover kan man som en del af arrangørgrupperne til Semesterstartsfesten og Institutdysten se frem til fede fester og events kun for dem samt de deltagende frivillige. Holdet bag alle disse events er vores frivillige, om de har relation til SSF, Insti, kommer via vores politiske- eller foreningsnetværk eller bare gerne vil være en del af foreningen, fordi det er sjovt. Derfor kan du også blive frivillig i SDS, hvis du kunne tænke dig at være med til at planlægge og være med til disse interne events samt gøre en forskel for dine medstuderende på Syddansk Universitet.
Political activities
We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in educational politics and who want to help fight for student rights both locally at SDU and nationally in collaboration with the National Union of Students in Denmark (DSF). Syddanske Studerende works with student politics in the study boards, academic council, university council, university board and municipally. At the national level, we participate in DSF's political conferences, where we discuss students' views on political issues such as SU, housing, education quality, internationalization, financing, study environment, climate and much more.
Tinderbox
Through our collaboration with Tinderbox, we help ensure that students can attend the festival for free in exchange for volunteering. Therefore, we are looking for volunteers for Tinderbox. We will open up in the spring for registration. Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for more information.
Battle of the Institutes
It also takes a lot of volunteers to plan, set up and execute Institutdysten. It takes an organizing group that takes care of rules, scoring system, atmosphere planning, agreements and communication. It takes managers from various departments. It takes volunteers to set up and be in the bars. It takes gamemasters and referees to keep track of and organize the various competitions. So there are many dedicated students behind the execution of Institutdysten.
Student Fair
At the start of each semester in September, we hold a study start fair called Student Fair. It is traditionally held at the small canteen (old Friday bar) at SDU. A lot of relevant organizations, SDU departments and local companies that want to reach out to students come here. So if you would like to change banks, join an association like SDU Ski Club or volunteer at the Friday bar, or if you just want a tote bag and some sweets, drop by the Student Fair. You can become a volunteer in Syddanske Studerende and help execute Student Fair and stand in our stand and tell other students about our work.
