Association member

At the Syddansk Studenterråd (SDS), we represent all the students at the University of Southern Denmark. In light of this, our goal is to be as broad and representative of the university as a whole, while being able to share knowledge, information, resources, and experiences with all the students who want to be supported.

Purpose:

The student associations will be able to receive support in various ways through this association membership, and will also be in regular contact with the Syddansk Studenterråd regarding offers and inquiries. This is done, for example, through elections at SDU, job and volunteer opportunities within the Syddansk Studenterråd, or to increase visibility at events such as the Semesterstartfest and the Institute Duel.

Structure

The contact between association members and the Southern Danish Student Council is handled by the association coordinator. It is the association coordinator’s role to guide the association members, as well as to provide information and facilitate the contact with the rest of the Southern Danish Student Council and the presidency.

The Syddansk Studenterråd maintains a database of association members and the primary means of contact with the member. Association members are required to provide the association with their e-mail address, the name of the association, the association’s purpose, the name of the contact person, and, if applicable, the contact person’s phone number.

The articulation regarding membership in associations follows the bylaws of the Southern Danish Student Council § 3, paragraph 3, and is further detailed in the SDS Board of Directors’ rules of procedure § 8.
