University council

What do university employees work with?
The council with?

University council works on issues that affect the entire SDU. It advises
the board regarding, among other things, the university's strategy, organization, quality assurance, finances, the study environment and well-being, as well as major management decisions.
University council is advisory. This means that the council discusses the matters and provides input to the management board, but does not make the final decisions itself.

Practical information

You are elected for two years, along with two other students. The council advises the board on university policy issues.

Meetings

Ordinary meetings are held approximately 5 times a year, where you must prepare for the agenda with relevant attachments beforehand.

Representative

You represent all students at SDU.

Cooperated

You collaborate with other students, staff members, the university director, the vice-director and the rector.

What does the job require?

You must be able to represent students across disciplines and faculties. Therefore, you must be prepared to work on issues that affect the entire university and not necessarily your own studies directly.
