Organizers

At the Syddansk Studenterråd, we hold two large events at SDU: the Semesterstartfest and the Studentfest Battle of The Institutes, both of which have motivated organizing groups.

What are you doing the organizers?

As an organizer, you help develop, plan, and host events for several 1000 students, where you have the opportunity to make your mark and have influence on the events. The events are planned and coordinated at regular organizer meetings, where collaboration with good social interaction takes place.

Organizer roles

As an organizer, you are assigned a responsibility area based on interests or competencies. The responsibility area is your main focus area where you are responsible, along with one or more other students. There is ample opportunity to make a special impact on your area of responsibility with your own competencies or visions for implementation.

Expectations

As an organizer, you get responsibility and opportunities for personal development. But in addition to that, there will also be some expectations regarding the work that ensure that the group can hold a good event.

Open to being able to collaborate in a team
Represented at organizing meetings
Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
Be structured and able to take responsibility
Be prepared for there to be hard work involved in setting up, hosting, and cleaning up for the event. Most importantly, the work is enjoyable all the way through.

As an organizer with the Syddansk Studenterråd, you get close social cohesion, sponsorship benefits and unique experiences. You develop personally, learn to work independently and, for example, gain experience in planning, management and creative concept development. You have access to facilities with the necessary facilities and build a wide network across disciplines, associations and partners.
